Gun Courses with Dedicated Firearms Instructors

Welcome to the only defensive shooting academy on the East Coast.

Shooting skills are perishable, and sustained training creates the motor memory and accuracy you need to maintain proficiency. That’s why we created the GUNTRY Academy.

There are six minimum checkpoints of defensive pistol skill, and the purpose of the Academy and the evaluated shooting courses is for shooters to achieve these measurable standards. The GUNTRY Academy is equivalent to the curriculum offered by other nationally recognized schools that cover similar material, such as NRA Personal Protection Inside/Outside the Home and USCCA Protector Academy. The program ONLY recognizes courses taught by GUNTRY staff, and certification is based on completion of our curriculum.

Students who complete a minimum of 40 hours of training through GUNTRY’s Academy will receive a challenge coin, graduate patch and certificate.

Maryland:
34 required hours plus minimum 6 elective hours
Required Courses: Semi-Auto Pistol 2, Semi-Auto Pistol 3 (CCW), Defensive Pistol 1, Defensive Pistol 2

Upon completion of all skill-level requirements, participants receive a recognition patch. Each level has its own patch.
